CASE STUDY
5 WALLAROO CLOSE

We grew tired with the constant failures of the battery discharge testing with the standard exit signs.

The LumaExit photoluminescent exit signs take that frustration away.

It is a great looking product, more energy efficient, therefore saving us money not only on expensive replacements, but energy bills too.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do photoluminescent signs work?

Photoluminescence is the process of absorption of ultra violet energy from surrounding light sources, which is then stored as energy {like a battery does, however, without the need for environmentally damaging batteries} and when required it releases the stored energy in the form of visible light. The signs contain material with this property and are tested to ensure that with minimal surrounding lighting they can perform the same role that traditional exit signs perform as demanded by the BCA and Australian standards.

  • Are extra lights or systems required?

Additional lighting may be required, however it isn’t always required. The cost of additional lighting to install and operate is FAR LESS than the replacement cost of a traditional exit sign.

  • Is my building eligible?

All buildings that contain emergency exit signs are eligible, however, depending upon the type of emergency lighting system in place, this will determine the specific requirements. In most cases, a straight 1-for-1 replacement is all that is required.

  • Where can I replace signs?

Virtually anywhere! Final installation requirements depend upon the particular design of the emergency system in that area. Hallways, corridors, fire stairs, car parks, common areas, shopping centres are examples of some areas that can all benefit from this industry changing upgrade.
