How do photoluminescent (PL) signs work?
LumaExit PL Exit Signs are made using PL pigments that absorb and store light from surrounding light sources.
Luma Exit PL Sign kits include an illuminating LED bracket which provide a dedicated and reliable light source for the sign face, ensuring that they are fully "charged" and ready to provide their illumination, at all times.
In an emergency when power is cut, the LED bracket goes out and the sign glows in the dark, providing a path for egress for at least 90 minutes as per BCA standard E4.8.
